Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking a Cleaning Assistant for our College to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. You will work as part of a supportive team across the campus.

Training will be provided on cleaning equipment and procedures; responsibilities include cleaning, waste management and washroom upkeep, contributing to the wellbeing of the College community.

Qualifications

• Reliable and hardworking; takes pride in their work.
• Experience in cleaning desirable or a willingness to develop new skills.
• Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Areas will be allocated by the Cleaning Supervisor or Estates Team according to College priorities.
• Vacuum cleaning floors and carpets
• Dusting and cleaning surfaces
• Cleaning washrooms, toilets and sinks
• Washing and storing crockery where required
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Emptying waste and recycling bins
• Operating cleaning equipment and machinery following appropriate training
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards or concerns identified during your work
• Supporting colleagues to maintain high standards across the College
• Undertaking other duties appropriate to the role as reasonably required
