Job summary

Reaseheath College and University Centre in Cheshire is seeking a Catering Assistant for term time only to join our catering team serving up to 1000 residents, 7500 day students and 650 staff across campus outlets. You will deliver friendly service, assist with basic food preparation, operate tills, and help with hospitality events.

This role requires flexibility, good communication, and a passion for high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food handling and basic food preparation.
• Demonstrable experience of working in a catering or service-related industry delivering a high-quality customer experience
• Ability to work flexibility and enthusiastically to meet team, customer and business needs
• Communicate effectively with all customers with a high level of interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated but with a passion to deliver a high-quality customer experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high level of customer service through polite and friendly interaction to ensure a positive experience for internal and external customers
• Work flexibly to support the wider team by preparing basic food, serving food, operating tills, stocking up, pot washing and cleaning areas as required
• Work in a busy, varied and supportive environment
• Assist with hospitality and functions as required
• Demonstrate a good working knowledge of products and meals plans to advise customers on correct and current pricing including special offers across all outlets
