Job summary

Falmouth Exeter Plus is seeking a BMS Engineer to own the building management systems across Cornwall campuses. You will monitor, optimise and troubleshoot BMS/HVAC controls, driving energy efficiency and improving user experience.

You’ll collaborate with Estates, contractors and university stakeholders, becoming the go-to technical point for BMS. Ideal candidates have a recognised qualification (HNC or equivalent) in building services or related discipline, with experience of BMS and HVAC

Qualifications

• Recognised technical qualification (minimum HNC or equivalent) in building services, controls, electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience working with building management systems in an operational or maintenance environment.
• Good working knowledge of HVAC systems and control strategies.
• Well-developed analytical, organisational, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with contractors, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office; familiar with CAFM systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise BMS performance across Cornwall campuses.
• Investigate faults and review control strategies to improve efficiency.
• Shape future improvements across the estate in collaboration with Estates colleagues and external contractors.
• Serve as a key technical contact for BMS-related matters and engage with stakeholders.
