Friends of the Lake District is seeking a Campaigns Officer to inspire and mobilize supporters for impactful campaigns focused on landscape policy. The candidate will play a key role in designing and delivering campaigns that enhance community engagement and influence decision-making. Friends of the Lake District is an independent charity and the only membership organisation dedicated to protecting and enhancing Cumbria’s landscapes. We believe that the Lake District offers some of the most spectacular and precious landscapes in England, and we campaign to ensure these landscapes remain tranquil, culturally rich, and environmentally healthy for the benefit of local communities, visitors, and wildlife.
With over 90 years of passion for the Cumbrian landscape, our work has evolved from defensive campaigning to proactively influencing key decision-makers about our landscape's future. Our land ownership has also grown, serving as a source of good practice for our advocacy.
Our work is supported by our members, volunteers, and supporters. As Campaigns Officer, you will inspire and mobilise supporters to back our campaigns and recruit new supporters to amplify their voice.
