Job summary

A women's mental health charity is looking for a Campaigns & Membership Officer to amplify women's voices and grow a user-led membership. The role involves developing specific campaigns, engaging a diverse community, and fostering inclusive engagement. Candidates with lived experience of mental health or justice systems are strongly encouraged to apply.

Job description

Hours: 2.5 days (18.75 hours) per week
Location:Hybrid – London office (Bethnal Green) + remote
Salary: £36,586 p.a. FTE (£18,293 pro rata for 2.5 days)
Start:July / August 2025
Reports to: Interim Director
Working Schedule: Flexible, to be arranged
Contract length: One year, with the possibility of extension if funding allows

WISH is a user-led women’s mental health charity working with women in the community, in secure hospitals, and in the justice system. We centre lived experience, challenge injustice, and provide life-changing trauma-informed support.

We’re now looking for a Campaigns & Membership Officer tohelp us amplify women’s voices and grow our user-led membership. In this exciting role, you’ll:

– Lead on developing user-led, gender-specific campaigns
– Create opportunities for women with lived experience to shape change
– Engage our diverse membership community – including women in prisons and hospitals
– Help build a stronger, more inclusive movement for women’s mental health

Who we’re looking for:

A passionate, creative communicator with a strong values base, experience in advocacy or community organising, and a commitment to inclusive engagement. You’ll understand how to turn ideas into action — with the lived experiences of women at the centre.

We strongly encourage applications from:
