Job description

and the job listing Expires on May 16, 2025

Just a little bit about Camp… We are a nonprofit organization that services those touched by cancer and sickle cell anemia with recreational experience and year-round support. We service men, women and children in the greater Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse areas, and provide these services free of charge. At Camp Good Days we have been hiring and training college aged students since 1983. We look forward to hiring about 15-20 Summer Staff members to work with our Camp Leadership team for the summer 2025 camping season!

This is a paid position during the summer months from June-August (pay will be discussed during interviews based on your level of engagement with Camp). This position also includes free room and board, free washer/dryer access and daily access to refreshments. Summer Staff will reside at our recreational facility located in Branchport, NY to create, facilitate, and partake in different programs and activities for children and families impacted by cancer or sickle cell anemia. In addition to the general roles of a Summer Staff member, we have specialized roles that they can be assigned to. These include Nature & Science, Arts & Crafts, Sports & Games, Music & Drama, Fishing, Photography, Archery, and more. Staff members can also opt to be a full-time lifeguard. At the end of the summer, staff members are eligible for a bonus based on performance and engagement at Camp Good Days!

This opportunity can be what you make of it; there is a lot of potential to be creative, learn, and grow, and we would love for you to explore joining the team this summer! The first step is to complete the Summer Staff Application on our website at https://www.campgooddays.org/employment, then we will contact you about next steps! In the meantime, if you have questions prior to completing the application, please reach out to Samm Reynolds at SReynolds@CampGoodDays.org.
