MBDA UK Ltd in Stevenage is seeking a CAMM Systems Design Engineer to lead systems design activities for CAMM family products. You will work across multiple functions to develop technology across the full design lifecycle, from requirements to certification.
The role offers a hybrid working pattern (2–3 days on-site) and a company bonus; security clearance required; BPSS checks after offer.

Salary: Up to £57k depending on experience.
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site dependent on workload classification.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
As one of two System Design Functions in Missile Design UK, System Design Missile Systems (SDMS) is primarily focused on providing Systems Engineering skills to programmes that already have Missile Systems in-service, enabling sustainment and enhancement of our Customer's capabilities through the delivery of product increments and spirals. Both systems design functions provide systems engineering skills to the project teams to establish requirements, system architectures and to guide the Verification & validation process leading to product certification and acceptance by the Customer and their assurance agencies. As part of the system level assurance role we provide system level performance, security and safety assurance.
You will join the CAMM Family Systems Design team working within the Design and Certification team. The role requires the individual to work across multiple business functions, leading the development of technology that covers the entire design lifecycle.
The team works on the full systems lifecycle of programmes, from the requirements, architecture, proving strategies and generation of evidence in support of certification.
The team delivers activities for CAMM and CAMM-ER across the multitude of variants and programmes under development Obsolescence phase 1, Obsolescence phase 2 and Export Contracts.
The role is to conduct these engineering activities for CAMM family products, and there is the opportunity to take a role leading the tasks for a particular contract for the right candidate. The team is growing so there is scope to grow whilst developing your own technical knowledge and competencies as you progress within MBDA.
