Would you like to be part of shaping a brand-new service that supports children and young people in crisis at the front door of care in the Children’s Accident and Emergency Department at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW)

We currently have a 12-month fixed-term/secondment vacancy for a Band 6 Clinical Practitioner to join the RISE Crisis Acute Liaison Team based within the A&E department at UHCW during this pilot service period. We are seeking clinicians with CAMHS crisis/acute experience who are motivated to make a real difference.

Role Overview:
As a Clinical Practitioner within the RISE urgent care umbrella, you will assess children and young people referred to the service, collaborating closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure coordinated, holistic, and effective care pathways.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust provides a full range of expanding mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services, we see on average around 5,000 patients every day.

We are looking for practitioners with Professional registration in mental health nursing, social work or allied health professionals, you will need a demonstrable level of clinical experience, and to be an excellent communicator and a good team player. You will need to be passionate and committed to delivering a service to a high standard, as well as being able to work in partnership with other teams and services including the Acute Trust hospital.

CALT work 365 days a year and offer a 12 hour service per day/ 7 days a week to the Acute Trust hospital UHCW. The Band 6 posts will require flexibility that reflects the service, that is, you will need to be able to work shifts this includes weekends . This will at UHCW only .
