JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner looking for a rewarding locum role in Manchester? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: CAMHS Practitioner (Band 6)
Location: Manchester
Duration: 3 months ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:
Join our team as a CAMHS Practitioner and play a vital role in supporting children and young people with mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments for children and young people.
  2. Developing and implementing personalised care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  3. Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support emotional well-being and recovery.
  4. Offering crisis intervention and risk management strategies to ensure the safety of young people.
  5. Liaising with families, schools, social workers, and other professionals to deliver holistic care.
  6. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with NHS standards and guidelines.
  7. Offering guidance and psychoeducation to families and caregivers.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A current and valid NMC registration (or relevant professional body registration).
  2. Previous experience in CAMHS or working with children and adolescents in mental health settings.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  5. A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
