JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner looking for a rewarding locum role in Manchester? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Details:

  • Title: CAMHS Practitioner (Band 6)
  • Location: Manchester
  • Duration: 3 months ongoing
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and young people.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support emotional well-being and recovery.
  • Offer crisis intervention and risk management strategies to ensure the safety of young people.
  • Liaise with families, schools, social workers, and other professionals to deliver holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with NHS standards and guidelines.
  • Offer guidance and psychoeducation to families and caregivers.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Current and valid NMC registration (or relevant professional body registration).
  • Previous experience in CAMHS or working with children and adolescents in mental health settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
