Job description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed CAMHS Practitioners to join the Getting Advice Team Pathway in North Lincolnshire.

This is an exciting time to join our evolving service in the Getting Advice Pathway, where we are committed to improving access to mental health advice and support for children, young people, and their families. This will be a dynamic role where no two days will be the same. This will involve triaging, assessment, and providing consultation and formulation to young people, families, partner agencies and helping to identify the most appropriate support for each young person at the most appropriate time. You will be expected to develop strong working relationships with partner agencies so excellent communication skills are a must. Ideally the successful candidate will also be fully conversant with the assessment process and have some knowledge of formulation.

Applications are invited from qualified Registered Mental Health Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists and you must be prepared to work in various community settings alongside partner providers. Successful applicants will be required to co-work effectively with colleagues and maintain good clinical records and data collections. Current hours of work are Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

To provide consultation and advice to children’s services across North Lincolnshire for children and young people, who have potential mental health difficulties or who are at high risk of suicide, life threatening self-harm, or other Mental Health issues.

To carry clinical caseload of children and young people utilising age appropriate interventions and in-line with NICE Guidelines

To work with other clinicians, in providing effective, evidence based therapeutic care, to lead or support other clinician’s with the development of care pathways

The post holder will provide clinical supervision to junior members of staff thus ensuring that they are complying with Trust standards of care, record keeping, and care planning

The post holder is required to be flexible and adaptable in order to respond to the diverse and demanding nature of this post.

To provide a commitment to Safeguarding Children and Young People

Deliver consultation/information to all external agencies across children’s universal services e.g. statutory and voluntary organisations, carers and guardians on issues pertaining to self-harm, eating disorders or mental health issues of a complex nature.

To support the Single Point of Access part of the service as and when required. This will include taking calls, triaging young people via the telephone, supporting those in crisis and liaising with partner agencies.
