Job description

We are collaborating with a local NHS Trust seeking a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to join their service in Rotherham.

Location: Rotherham

Rate of pay: £26p/h Umbrella

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Contract: 3-month initial contract with potential for extension

Key responsibilities:

  1. Manage a complex clinical caseload of young people requiring CAMHS intervention, utilizing age-appropriate interventions.
  2. Provide consultation and advice to children’s services across Rotherham for children and young people with potential mental health difficulties.
  3. Conduct evidence-based mental health assessments and interventions for children and young people involved with the service.
  4. Undertake comprehensive assessments of children suspected of having mental health needs and serve as a contact point for professionals and families.

Requirements:

  • A professional Nursing qualification, Occupational Therapist qualification, or Social Worker registration (essential).
  • Demonstrable post-qualification experience, including working with young people with complex mental health problems and experience working with children and families (essential).
