Job summary

A local NHS Trust is urgently seeking a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to provide essential mental health services to children and young people in Rotherham. We are collaborating with a local NHS Trust who are seeking a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to join their service, based in Rotherham.

Location: Located in Rotherham

Rate of pay: £26p/h Umbrella

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Contract: 3 month initial contract with the view of extension

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with a complex clinical caseload of young people requiring CAMHS intervention utilising age appropriate interventions.
  • Provide consultation and advice to children’s services across Rotherham for children and young people, who have potential mental health difficulties.
  • Provide evidence based mental health assessment and intervention to Children and Young People involved with the Service.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of children suspected of having mental health needs and act as a contact point for professionals & families.

Requirements:

  • A professional Nursing qualification/Occupational Therapist qualification/Social Worker with current registration (essential)
  • Demonstrable post qualification experience, including experience of working with young people with complex mental health problems and working with children and families in particular (essential)
