Job overview
In Lambeth Secondary Care Psychological Therapies (SCPT), we offer specialist psychological therapies for adults with mood, anxiety, trauma-related, and personality difficulties, working in community and primary care settings.
We have an exciting opportunity for psychology graduates to work with us in roles focusing on integrated working with our local community mental health team (CMHT), providing clinical care, managing, and assessing new referrals. Two posts are available.
This role will help you develop skills in assessment, formulation, interventions, staff training, and system development.
We seek candidates with experience in mental health settings, capable of flexible approaches, and able to work in a busy environment. Supervision will be provided by a qualified psychologist. We support staff development.
Main duties of the job
The role focuses on two areas: collaborating with the psychological therapies service to formulate and implement evidence-based treatments, including reviewing referrals and co-facilitating group interventions; and working with the CMHT to support care, contribute to team discussions, and provide consultation and training.
You will work flexibly across pathways, managing referrals, offering low-intensity group interventions, and providing integrated care through MDT involvement.
You should be comfortable working with challenging behaviors and willing to travel to different sites.
Working for our organisation
The area has high social deprivation and mental health needs, with above-average levels of morbidity. Lambeth NHS aims for an integrated mental health system supporting whole health and wellbeing. The Trust provides mental health services across several boroughs and is part of King’s Health Partners AHSC.
