Are you a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist interested in working with people with Learning Disabilities within the London Borough of Brent?

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join a supportive and diverse multidisciplinary team, providing opportunities to consolidate training and develop professional competencies.

We are seeking someone to provide a specialist clinical psychology service to individuals with learning disabilities and their families or carers, including assessment and the development and implementation of psychological interventions.

The successful candidate may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust, we strongly encourage vaccination to protect yourself, your family, colleagues, and patients.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, and planning appropriate care for adults with learning disabilities. The role involves face-to-face cognitive psychometric assessments, interpreting results, and formulating treatment plans.

You should be able to plan and prioritize your workload within a multidisciplinary setting, ensuring holistic, person-centred care tailored to individual needs. You will record, monitor, and report on clinical work, communicating complex information effectively to various audiences, including service users, families, carers, and other professionals.
