A healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Ward Housekeeper to ensure a clean and safe environment in a CAMHS inpatient ward in London. Responsibilities include conducting quality audits, managing catering support, assisting with laundry, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, with a supportive approach to young people.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, supportive, and dynamic multidisciplinary inpatient service serving South London and Maudsley. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Administrator, Administrator, Ward Manager, Business Manager and other team members, providing top-tier housekeeping support. The postholder will work as an integral part of the ward team and be responsible for the coordination of all client facilities services in the ward area ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment. The post-holder will need to collaborate closely with contractors, as well as the estate and facilities departments and catering/domestic providers. They will monitor quality standards, report any deficiencies, and ensure that requested work is completed. They should be able to communicate and engage with the young people on the unit and be approachable, receptive to feedback, which will be acknowledged through attendance at weekly meetings with the young people. This post is based at the Maudsley Adolescent Unit (MAU). It is currently based at Bethlem Hospital Site, Beckenham, but moving into Pears Maudsley building, Denmark Hill in due course. We are looking for a dedicated and organised Ward Housekeeper to support the smooth operation of our CAMHS inpatient ward, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for young people, staff, and visitors.
