A local healthcare provider in London is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to manage cleaning, catering, and maintenance tasks within a ward. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and experience in facilities coordination. This role requires someone who is approachable and can engage positively with young people. The position offers a dynamic work environment within a multidisciplinary team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, supportive, and dynamic multidisciplinary inpatient service serving South London and Maudsley. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Administrator, Administrator, Ward Manager, Business Manager and other team members, providing housekeeping support. The postholder will work as an integral part of the ward team and be responsible for the coordination of all client facilities services in the ward area, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment. The main elements of the role are ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of cleaning, catering, maintenance, laundry, together with other specified tasks to meet individual client needs as determined by the ward manager/shift co-ordinator. The post-holder will need to collaborate closely with contractors, as well as the estate and facilities departments and catering/domestic providers. They will monitor quality standards, report any deficiencies, and ensure that requested work is completed. They will need to be able to communicate and engage with the young people on the unit. They should be approachable in their manner and be receptive to feedback, which will be acknowledged through their attendance at weekly meetings with the young people. This post is based at the Maudsley Adolescent Unit (MAU, Currently based at Bethlem Hospital Site, Beckenham, but moving into Pears Maudsley building, Denmark Hill in due course).
