Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a CAMHS clinician to undertake daily duty duties, perform risk assessments, and support urgent responses for children and young people. The role involves initial assessments, a mix of individual and family work, and close collaboration with parents, schools and other services.

You will contribute to care planning, maintain high-quality records in line with CAMHS standards, and use SystmOne for clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Assess level of risk and help plan safety responses.
• Provide initial assessments for children and young people referred to the team.
• Support families and young people across waiting lists or crises.
• Maintain timely, accurate records in line with CAMHS standards.

Responsibilities

• Take part in local duty rota to provide urgent response when required.
• Use individual, group, and family work approaches according to needs.
• Offer specialist advice and support to other agencies as appropriate.
• Complete signposting and social prescribing after CAMHS assessments.
