We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse/Practitioner (Occupational Therapists and Social Workers) to join our CAMHS Urgent Care Team in South Derbyshire, specifically the Crisis & Home Treatment Team.
The Team will be a well-established part of the wider CAMHS Service and is supportive and well organised, with a culture of friendly, multi-disciplinary work.
You will have experience of direct work with children and young people who have mental health problems and you will be adept at undertaking mental health assessments and interventions.
You will have the necessary knowledge in assessing risk and drawing up robust safety plans and have a core professional qualification e.g. Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist and be registered with the relevant professional body.
The CAMHS Crisis & Home Treatment Team offers urgent assessment, brief intervention and intensive home treatment to children and young people presenting with a mental health crisis.
The team is 1/3 of South Derbyshire's Urgent Care Pathway that also comprises of a liaison service and a day service. All 3 teams are based at Temple House and offer appointments at base, at Royal Derby Hospital and in the community/people's homes.
The team operates from 8am - 11pm, 7 days per week. It is fast paced and innovative. Staff working in the team report having to work well as a team but also as an autonomous professional. Good assessment, formulation and care planning skills are key in this role. Training as support is offered regarding therapeutic interventions available within the offer.
