Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist to lead transformation within CAMHS. The role offers opportunities to train, supervise, and develop specialist interests. The post includes on-call duties and a path to GMC trainer status.

The role is based at Viscount House, Stockton, with potential site moves. Salary ranges £113,565–£150,569, with flexible working patterns and NHS-wide support for professional development.

Qualifications

• MB BS or equivalent medical qualification and GMC licence to practise.
• Eligible for Specialist Register in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within 6 months of CCT.
• Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments and psychiatric opinions for patients up to 18 years old.
• Deliver diagnosis and holistic care plans and manage on-call duties as required.
• Write reports and attend multiagency meetings for young people on caseload.
