Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a B7 Clinical Psychologist on a Preceptorship track or Band 8a, to join the Isle of Wight CAMHS. The post offers potential career progression to Band 8a subject to competencies.

You will deliver psychological assessments and therapies, supervise and develop a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities for leadership training and research collaborations through NHS networks.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan development psychology as approved by the HCPC.
• Professionally registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Band 8a: post-qualification training in clinical supervision of other psychologists or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist psychological assessments and therapy for individuals, groups and families.
• Provide clinical supervision to Assistant Psychologists, doctoral trainees and/or qualified Psychological Therapists.
• Lead new psychological initiatives within the service and actively grow the psychological skills of other team members.
