Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) invites applications for a Clinical Psychologist/Senior CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner (Band 7). The post is split across CAMHS LAC and North CAMHS in Manchester for 12 months maternity cover, 0.6 whole time equivalent, 22.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

Registered with a professional body.
Experience in Looked After Children and multi-agency working.
Experience in assessment and therapeutic work with children and families across the age range.
Experience of consulting with health care and other professionals.
Experience of assessing and managing risk including safeguarding.
Experience of developing and providing evidenced-based assessments, formulations and care plans.

Responsibilities

Provide consultancy, training and a range of high quality interventions appropriate to the child or young person’s needs.
Include mental state assessment, risk assessment and management and evidence-based interventions.
Work in a multi-disciplinary team and autonomously within professional practice guidelines.
Split duties across CAMHS LAC and North CAMHS teams to support children and young people in GM.
