Job Vacancy: Camera Operator Editor - Sky News

Location: Birmingham, UK

What you’ll do:

1. Acquire and deliver media to Sky News using various equipment tailored to each story, potentially working independently.
2. Operate cameras and lighting confidently, using the latest HD cameras for ENG, EFP, and long-form/documentary content gathering, including Panasonic GH7s.
3. Utilize non-linear editing systems effectively, understanding the in-house workflow from acquisition to contribution, primarily using Adobe Premiere.
4. Operate IP technologies such as LiveU, Starlink, and IP dishes to deliver live and recorded video content from the field.
5. Collaborate with Sky News correspondents, field producers, and fellow camera operators/editors to gather, manage, and deliver high-quality content across all Sky News platforms.
6. Manage your own ENG camera, sound equipment, and personal broadcast gear, including the use of company pool or hired vehicles when necessary.
