Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Plumbing Lecturer to join a progressive Further Education college in Cambridge. You will deliver practical workshop sessions and classroom theory across Levels 1 to 3, taking full academic ownership of sessions and assessments.

Candidates should hold an NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one); industry experience and a clear communication style are essential. A DBS check is preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing & Domestic Heating.
• Relevant trade experience with strong practical skills.
• Recognized teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Practical & Theoretical Training across Levels 1 to 3 plumbing qualifications.
• Full Academic Ownership: session preparation, practical demonstrations, assessment and feedback.
• Workshop Safety & Standards: maintain health, safety and environmental standards in workshop spaces.
• Industry Alignment: teach pipe bending, jointing techniques, sanitation systems, central heating and water regulations.
• Student Progression: support learners towards apprenticeships or employment.
