CAM Programmer

We are seeking a CAM Programmer to join our expanding team at our Brackley site. Our team plays a critical role in maintaining our high standards and supporting production.

This is a day shift role, Monday to Friday, with core hours from 8am to 4:30pm. We offer competitive pay, a company pension, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare, and overtime opportunities during peak periods.

The Role:

The CAM Programmer will produce offline CNC programs using Delcam PowerMill, create setting sheets, and provide engineering support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Produce cutter paths within PowerMill for 3 and 5 axis CNC machines to produce patterns, moulds, melt-outs, and carbon components.
2. Create setup sheets and supply all necessary drawings and information for machining parts.
3. Verify programs thoroughly to ensure accuracy.
4. Review and check the work of colleagues within the department.
5. Design jigs and fixtures using Delcam PowerShape.
6. Ensure that all proven programs and related documentation are stored securely on the network.
7. Assist on the shop floor with machine operation as needed.
8. Maintain a flexible, proactive attitude towards all tasks.

Skills:

• Strong engineering background with experience in precision machining of low-volume, high-value complex components.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in offline CNC programming using Delcam software.
• Knowledge of engineering materials and processing techniques.
• Effective team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
