Job summary

West Somerset College in Minehead is seeking reliable Exam Invigilators to support examinations under the supervision of the Exams Officer. You will help ensure fair, secure exam conditions and assist candidates throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Calm, attentive and able to follow procedures accurately.
• Reliable, professional and well-organised.
• Experience handling examinations or similar environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination venues and equipment in line with examination regulations.
• Supervise students before, during and after examinations.
• Maintain strict examination conditions and ensure compliance with JCQ guidelines.
• Register candidates and monitor attendance.
• Provide clear instructions and support to candidates throughout the examination process.
• Accurately collect and return examination papers and scripts.
• Report any irregularities, concerns or incidents to the Exams Officer.
• Support invigilation of smaller groups, including access arrangements where appropriate.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, equality, diversity and inclusion standards.
