A leading education provider in London is looking for a Cover Supervisor to manage classes during teacher absences. This role is perfect for aspiring teachers, offering valuable school experience, whether on a full-time or flexible basis. Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students stay on task.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school s policies.
Provide feedback to the absent teacher on the lesson and student performance.
Maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
School hours (approx. 8:00 AM 3:30 PM), Monday to Friday.
Term-time only, with full-time, part-time, and supply/flexible options.
Good standard of education (minimum GCSEs in English and Maths).
Strong classroom management skills.
Confidence in dealing with secondary-aged pupils ( or ).
Reliable, flexible, and calm under pressure.
Experience working in a school or with young people (e.g., tutoring, youth work, teaching assistant roles).
Degree-level education, especially for those considering a future in teaching.
Enhanced DBS check (you'll need this to work in schools).
