Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEND TA)

We are currently looking for Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants (SEND TAs) to join our team. As a SEND TA, you will support students with special educational needs in their academic and personal development.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students with special educational needs, either one-on-one or in groups
• Assist teachers with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Support students in developing social and communication skills
• Collaborate with professionals such as speech and occupational therapists

Qualifications:

• Experience in the health and care profession
• Empathy and understanding of the needs of students with special educational needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, resilience, and composure in challenging situations

Note: This role is open to candidates with prior experience in the health and care sector interested in working with students with special educational needs. Training will be provided to suitable applicants who meet the qualifications and demonstrate a passion for this work.

All pay rates include statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency. Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and will conduct necessary checks, including DBS verification and online searches, in line with DfE guidance. We provide free safeguarding and Prevent Duty training. All candidates must have a valid enhanced DBS check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
