Prospero Teaching is offering exciting opportunities for dynamic and compassionate individuals to join a network of special schools across Wolverhampton as a Teaching Assistant. With this supply role, you can choose the days that work best for you. Whether you want to work long-term or short-term, you will be offered work in local schools, allowing you to enjoy flexibility while making a meaningful impact in the classroom.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Collaborating with teachers to create a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
  • Supporting students with a variety of special needs, encouraging independence and engagement.
  • Supporting in personal care when needed, ensuring student comfort and safety at all times.
  • Adapting quickly to new classrooms and varying student needs.
  • Assisting teachers in managing class activities, helping students focus, and promoting social and emotional development.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a care, support, or educational role with at least 6 months experience in the UK.
  • A caring and patient attitude, with a passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • The ability to adapt to different classroom settings and a variety of student needs.
  • Flexibility to work on a supply basis, and a willingness to work in different schools.
  • A DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
