Job description

This is a great opportunity to join and support an expanding team at Llanberis. As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for calibrating, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of equipment and instruments at our facility. This role requires a thorough understanding of calibration procedures, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance.

You will provide calibration support throughout the site, including supporting the CRM, Reagent, and Instrument manufacturing teams in developing and improving calibration processes.

This role will be based on-site and work on a day’s 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform calibration of a wide range of equipment and instruments according to established procedures and standards.
  • Record accurate records of all calibration activities and results.
  • Installation and commissioning of new or replacement process instruments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve measurement equipment and calibration issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage inventory of calibration tools and equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration processes and efficiency.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with QMS and all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) legislation.
Your Skills & Experience:
  • You will be curious, keen to understand, learn, and try new things, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with testing equipment and tools to optimise and improve calibration processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • GDP & GMP (Good Documentation Practices & Good Manufacturing Practices)
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent in engineering, metrology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in calibration and maintenance of equipment and instruments.
  • Proficiency in using calibration software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
