Job summary

Major Recruitment Oldbury are recruiting for a Redditch based client seeking a Calibration & Service Engineer to start immediately. You will calibrate and service aviation and battery charging devices, performing preventive and corrective maintenance to industry standards.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, keeping CRM records, producing reports, and travelling for field work as required. A proactive, detail‑oriented communicator with a technical background will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Ideally, experience in servicing, maintaining, or calibrating machinery.
• Technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and methodical approach.
• Proactive, organised, and able to work independently to tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and confidence engaging with customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with good attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel internationally (training and field work).
• A desire to progress into a Field Service role.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 2pm.
