Job summary

Trescal LTD offers a four-year apprenticeship in engineering calibration across UK sites. You will learn to calibrate, fault-find and repair instruments, while following ISO9001 and ISO17025 procedures. The programme includes in-house and external training, with rotations through pressure, temperature and electrical disciplines.

On completion you become a qualified Calibration Engineer with opportunities for progression to Senior Engineer, Technical Lead or Management roles within Trescal.

Qualifications

• GCSEs with English and Maths at grade 4 or higher (or equivalent in Scotland)
• PC literacy and knowledge of Microsoft software
• Proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to attend college weekly during term time

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and optimise a wide range of measuring instrumentation
• Fault find and repair equipment as part of training
• Work in accordance with our Quality System and ISO9001/ISO17025 procedures
• Rotate across calibration disciplines in UKAS accredited laboratories
• Participate in personal development courses and external training
