Job description
Overview

Our client is a leading UKAS accredited provider of calibration services to a growing portfolio of customers throughout the UK. Due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Calibration Engineer.

The successful calibration engineer will undertake field calibration duties throughout Northern England and Scotland.

Responsibilities
  • Calibrate dimensional and mechanical instrumentation in line with industry standards (laboratory and at customers site)
  • Undertake calibration and testing of Pressure, Torque and Force equipment e.g. Vacuum Gauges, Pressure Transducers, Pressure Calibrators
  • Electrical calibration of equipment such as multi-meters, temperature / thermometers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, generators and timers
  • Accurately record results in line with industry standards.
  • Identify service improvement and new business development opportunities
Candidate

You will be an experienced calibration / instrumentation engineer ideally with at least 3 years industry experience. You will have good understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering and you will have dimensional calibration experience.

Ideally you will be NVQ 3 or HNC qualified and you will be fully conversant with BS EN ISO 17025 standards. Applicants with UKAS signatory would be advantageous but not essential.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday - 40 hrs
