Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar required.
  • Experience in service and calibration of measuring equipment.

Job description

Calibration Engineer – Metrology – Gloucester

Calibration Engineer required to join a measurement specialist to provide technical support and on-site service, calibration, installation and commissioning of metrology equipment, including CMM’s, height gauges and vision systems.

This role is office based in Gloucester 5 days a week with extensive travel around the UK.

The Package:

Salary – £30,000-£40,000

Company van

Bonus Scheme

Working Hours – 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday

25 days holiday + bank holidays

Private medical

The Role:

  1. Provide on-site Service, Calibration, installation and commissioning of equipment
  2. Perform hands-on on-site troubleshooting, service and repairs.
  3. Perform in-house calibrations and repairs when necessary.
  4. Provide high level support to external customers at their location.
  5. Provide on-site training to customers.
  6. Interface with cross functional work teams such as applications, customer support/services/sales and marketing.

Required Skills:

  1. HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  2. Working knowledge and ability to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
  3. Experience in the service and calibration of measuring equipment e.g. CMM’s, Shadow graphs, height gauges and vision systems.
  4. Can demonstrate ability to work flexible hours including spending considerable time away from home.
  5. Full valid passport with no travel restrictions & full valid UK driving license.
