The role

As a CAFM Support Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our asset maintenance operations, supporting the management and optimisation of our Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system. This is a dynamic and impactful role where your work will directly support the Royal Navy and the Ministry of Defence, helping ensure the safety and reliability of critical infrastructure.

Day-to-day, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that maintains essential data, delivers insightful reports, and provides training to users across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in defence and engineering, while contributing to national security and operational excellence.

  • Managing and maintaining asset records within the CAFM system
  • Producing and controlling maintenance schedules to meet contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting stakeholders with data analysis and reporting using Crystal Reports
  • Delivering tailored training to system users, including new starters and refresher sessions
  • Collaborating with internal teams to improve maintenance strategies and compliance

Essential experience of the CAFM Support Engineer:

  • Using CAFM systems or managing software/database records
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with Crystal reporting tools (desirable)
  • Delivering systems training to users (desirable)
  • Working with SharePoint for data management (desirable)

Qualifications

  • Educated to Level 3 in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) – e.g. A Level or equivalent
