Job summary

Tesco Cafes are hiring a Team Member to help in the kitchen and on the floor. You’ll serve customers, keep areas clean and follow food safety rules to ensure every dish meets our menu standards.

We offer flexible hours, opportunities for progression and a minimum 8 guaranteed hours per week. You’ll join a busy, friendly team and be part of Tesco’s customer‑focused culture. You’ll grow with Tesco across our nationwide cafe network.

Qualifications

• Hospitality and customer service commitment.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our caf's delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our caf's menu inside and out and serving food exactly as its intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Clearing and sanitising tables so our caf stays clean.
