Job summary

Tesco Cafes in the United Kingdom seeks a friendly Team Member to join our cafe team. You’ll help with cooking, customer service, and maintaining a clean, safe environment while delivering the high standard Tesco service customers expect.

We offer flexibility in hours, a minimum guaranteed 8 hours per week, and opportunities to progress within a busy, fast-paced store cafe environment. Applicants must be 18 or over and eager to contribute to a welcoming customer experience.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and keep a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practise FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and safely store food.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to the menu.
• Maintain standards and ensure products are available.
• Know the caf menu and serve food as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and report to the Caf Manager.
• Stay updated with business communications and initiatives.
• Clear and sanitise tables to keep the caf clean.
