About the role

Tea is brewing. Café doors are opening. The day is about to start, and so are our café team members. They're the talented people making every day a little better for our customers. Now, you can join them.

As a Team Member in our café, you're part of everything - a bit of cooking, a bit of chatting with customers, and a lot of impact. As someone dedicated to great service, you'll make sure that every dish you prepare and serve lives up to the promise of our menu and meets all safety standards. You'll also help keep everything tidy, from kitchen equipment to customer tables.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week to new colleagues, with options to work fewer hours (minimum 12). We are flexible with scheduling within the availability windows you provide, and will give 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. If your available times closely match but are not exactly the advertised times, we still encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
  • Serving customers efficiently and with care.
  • Following food safety and hygiene regulations and keeping daily records.
  • Practicing FIFO stock rotation to ensure food freshness.
  • Accepting deliveries and storing food safely.
  • Adhering to operational policies and procedures.
  • Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to the café's menu.
  • Maintaining standards and ensuring all food products are available.
  • Knowing the menu inside out and serving food as intended.
  • Resolving customer complaints and informing the Café Manager.
  • Staying updated with business communications and initiatives.
  • Clearing and sanitizing tables to keep the café clean.
