What you’ll be responsible for

As a Catering Assistant, you will be required to:

• Work to appropriate procedures to ensure the safety of all persons on site.
• Daily reconciliation of income with till receipts.
• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Ensure tables are clean and available for customers to use.
• Perform general cleaning duties in the kitchen and storage areas.
• Cook for colleagues and serve hot meals during breakfast and lunch time hours.

About you

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills

• Ideally Level 2 Food Hygiene
• Practical Health & Safety experience
• Retail customer service knowledge or specialism
• Experience working with the general public
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Other Useful Information

• The role requires 3 shifts per week and these shifts can fall on any days of the week, including weekends - although we do try to accommodate requests for more fixed shift patterns where possible. Shifts can vary in times from 08:00 - 18:00 with most shifts being around 8 hours. Rotas are provided one month in advance.
• Elan Valley is situated in the county of Powys in mid-Wales and can be accessed easily from the nearby town of Rhayader, which is well served by public transport.
