Job summary

Compass Group UK is hiring a Café Manager in the Old Woking area to lead our catering teams and deliver outstanding food and service. This full-time role (40 hours per week) combines hands-on management with strategic oversight to drive customer satisfaction.

You’ll recruit, train and motivate staff, monitor KPIs, manage budgets, and ensure Health & Safety standards across venues. Join us to grow your catering career with one of the industry’s leaders.

Qualifications

• Have previous management experience in a similar cafe/food service role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate culinary and catering teams to deliver exceptional food and service.
• Oversee operations, complete weekly business returns, monitor budgets and implement action plans.
• Communicate with line manager to review KPIs and achieve targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK and maintain a positive brand image.
• Provide hands-on training and guide teams to perform at their best.
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are followed across all catering and service staff.

As a Cafe Manager, you will have the presence and personality to influence the day-to-day business, helping us deliver truly incredible food experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards
