Seaborn is a brand new café opening in Newington Green in early summer, and we’re looking for an organised, energetic, people-focused Café Manager to help bring it to life.

We’ll be serving great coffee and flavour-packed sandwiches in a playful yet quality-driven environment. If you’re excited by the idea of shaping a new space from day one, building a great team, and putting your stamp on something special, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the launch and daily operation of a brand new café
• Hire, train, and develop a brilliant front-of-house team
• Manage shifts, floor flow, and service during peak times
• Work in the kitchen to keep food quality high and sandwiches fast, fresh, and fun
• Ensure a smooth and consistent customer experience, from open to close
• Oversee stock management, hygiene, and safety standards
• Work directly with the owners to grow and scale the business
• Bring energy, creativity, and ideas to help shape Seaborn’s personality and success
• Solve problems on the fly and jump in wherever needed—this is a hands-on role
• You’ll Fit Right In If You:
• Have previous café or hospitality management experience
• Are passionate about speciality coffee and playful, well-executed food
• Are excited by the challenge of opening a new space and building a team culture
• Lead with confidence, empathy, and a sense of humour
• Stay cool and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate clearly and proactively
• Bonus points if you’ve worked with coffee equipment or have basic troubleshooting skills
• (Nice to have) A full UK driver’s licence
