Job summary

Compass Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Cafe Manager for our site at ASDA Straiton. You’ll lead the catering operation, drive service excellence and control costs in a busy retail environment.

As the visible on-site leader you’ll coach a team, manage rostering, stock, cash handling and HR duties while ensuring outstanding customer experience and adherence to Compass and ASDA standards. The role is full-time, with a day pattern from 8am to 6pm.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a catering operation in a busy retail environment.
• Strong customer service mindset and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage stock, cash handling, and HR duties.

Responsibilities

• Managing the daily operation of the self-service kiosk within the restaurant
• Leading, motivating and developing a team
• Keyholding duties, including opening and closing the site
• Cash handling, till reconciliation and sales counting
• Stock control and regular stock takes
• Managing HR-related duties such as rotas, absence and performance
• Delivering excellent customer service at all times
• Ensuring compliance with Compass and ASDA standards
