Job description

Join our dynamic team at the iconic Redcoat Café, located within Scotland’s number one visitor attraction – Edinburgh Castle. We’re looking for an experienced and driven Café Manager to help lead a thriving operation with an annual turnover of £2 million.

This high-volume, counter-service café offers barista-style coffee and a grab-and-go menu. You’ll be a key member of our front-of-house management team of five, working together to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced, tourist-driven environment.

The café operates 7 days a week, and you’ll be expected to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends, as part of a rota.

About the Café Manager role:
  1. Oversee daily operations to ensure everything runs efficiently and smoothly.
  2. Maintain consistently high standards of customer service and experience.
  3. Drive improvements in both sales and service through proactive initiatives.
  4. Support team development with regular feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
  5. Uphold strict food hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
  6. Provide occasional support for evening events as required.

The ideal candidate will bring strong food and beverage knowledge, exceptional customer service, and proven leadership abilities.
