Compass Group UK is recruiting for a Café Manager to lead day-to-day café operations at IDEMIA, ensuring a friendly, efficient service and high food quality. You will oversee a small team, manage stock, and uphold food safety standards to deliver excellent customer experiences.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £33,000 per annum and opportunities for development within a large, national catering group.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a cafe or on-site catering operation.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day café operation, ensuring a friendly, welcoming and well-run service.
• Prepare simple, fresh, home-style food, producing approximately 20 meals per day.
• Lead and support a Catering Assistant, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth front-of-house operations.
• Oversee hospitality requests, ensuring food is delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Maintain stock control, ordering, food costs, and waste management within a compact kitchen environment.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company procedures.
• Drive service standards, presentation, and customer satisfaction across all catering provisions.
• Manage daily kitchen administration, including due diligence and compliance records.
• Support the growth of breakfast and lunch uptake through engaging menus and consistent food quality.
