Deller’s Beach Café, a vibrant and stylish café nestled within the ibis Styles Paignton, is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Café Manager to lead its day-to-day operations.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DELLER’S MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL

What you’ll be doing...

Take full ownership of the daily operation of Deller’s Café, ensuring fast, friendly, and consistent service in a relaxed, coffee-focused environment

Lead by example in all areas of the café, from front-of-house barista work to stock rotation, merchandising and guest service

Work closely with the hotel’s F&B team, who will support during busy periods and cover.

Deliver excellent product knowledge and barista standards across hot and cold drinks, bakery items, grab & go and seasonal specials

Manage day-to-day operations including rota planning, stock control, ordering, waste reduction, and daily cash procedures

Maintain all health, safety, hygiene and allergen standards, with a sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to compliance

Support the development of team members through hands-on training, positive encouragement, and coaching moments

Be the face of the Deller’s brand—building local relationships, supporting marketing initiatives, and helping grow a loyal customer base

What we need from you:

Previous experience in a café, coffee shop or fast-casual environment, ideally with some team leadership or supervisory exposure

A passion for coffee culture and a genuine interest in creating great guest experiences

Confidence in multitasking and taking initiative in a fast-paced, standalone operation

Strong communication and organisational skills, with an eye for detail and a focus on consistency

Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends and busy seasonal days

Basic understanding of stock and cost control, labour planning and daily cash handling procedures

A warm and approachable personality with a calm and confident leadership style
