Job summary

KSB Recruitment is looking for a reliable Catering Assistant to join a busy café in Milton Keynes. You will support the kitchen team with basic food preparation and provide friendly, efficient service to customers.

Hours are Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (30-minute unpaid break), 30 hours per week, with an ongoing contract. Start date is Monday 19 October 2026.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required.
• Previous café, catering, or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Head Chef with basic food preparation.
• Washing up and keeping kitchen equipment clean.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café.
• Supporting food service and serving customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Keeping work areas tidy, organised, and safe.
• Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
