Job description

We are looking for Front-of-House Assistants to join our Cogges Kitchen Café team. You will be able to work on your own and as part of a team, support our Café manager, and show initiative with a positive, can-do attitude. You will be passionate about providing excellent customer service, ensuring high standards in the preparation and serving of drinks and food, and diligent in matters of hygiene and food safety. If you’re a trained barista, great! If not, we’ll provide training.

Key tasks:

1. Taking orders and payments.
2. Preparing hot and cold drinks and serving food.
3. Providing a high level of customer service at all times, including table-service.
4. Clearing tables and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the café and outside seating areas.
5. Taking all reasonable steps to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of yourself, other staff, and volunteers, in accordance with the Cogges Health & Safety policy and statutory requirements.
6. Any other tasks as reasonably requested from time to time.

Various shifts are available, including weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings for our events. Hours will be variable, with flexibility to cover colleagues’ sickness and holidays. This is a casual contract.
