Job summary

Flashpoint Swansea is seeking a Café & Events Manager to own the Cafe's operations, from processes to standards and training, while also developing engaging events for our community. You’ll work to make the café a vibrant hub, coordinating with suppliers, customers and the broader centre to deliver memorable experiences.

You’ll drive menu development, pricing, KPI tracking and staff coaching, ensuring food hygiene and safety are maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality with strong operational standards and allergen awareness.
• Ability to manage processes, resources and competing priorities practically.
• Experience training or coaching others to develop knowledge and confidence.
• Comfort with stock, ordering, costs, margins and KPIs.
• Strong communication to engage customers and collaborate with the team.
• enthusiasm for events and community activities.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve Café processes, standards, procedures and resources.
• Maintain food hygiene, allergen controls and cleaning practices.
• Coordinate Café training and competency, boosting knowledge and consistency.
• Monitor sales, costs, stock and KPIs; report to the Centre Manager.
• Oversee stock, suppliers, menu development, pricing and margins.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and repairs are carried out.
• Develop community-focused events and engage the centre’s audience.
• Lead planning for larger climbing events and competitions.
• Be visible, talk to customers and use feedback to improve service.
