Job summary

Tesco Cafés are hiring a Chef with hospitality experience to join one of our busy café kitchens. You’ll handle preparation, storage and delivery of great-tasting food that keeps customers coming back for more, in a fast-paced environment across Tesco Cafés.

You’ll share knowledge with the team, uphold health and safety standards, minimise waste, and lead with an inclusive, respectful approach to colleagues as you grow in a supportive Tesco family.

Qualifications

• Background in hospitality.
• Experience in a high-pressure environment.
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• Desire to create an inclusive work environment where colleagues feel respected, safe and valued.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• Confidence using initiative to improve ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Storage and preparation in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Deliver timely, tasty food to customers while maintaining great standards.
• Identify new and better ways of working to improve services for customers and colleagues.
• Health and safety and food safety requirements are met.
• Understand the key drivers of the service plan and deliver to the required standard.
