About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and customer-focused Barista to join our Tesco Café team. Whether it's a quick stop after shopping or a catch-up with a friend, you'll ensure our customers enjoy delicious coffee, tea, and seasonal drinks that brighten their day.

Bring your experience as a Barista or hospitality worker to the team, sharing your knowledge and expertise. At Tesco, we prioritize customer satisfaction, so you'll stay familiar with our menu, new initiatives, and stock levels to serve efficiently and meet customer needs.

We are committed to providing opportunities for everyone to excel. You'll work closely with the Café Manager to support team development and utilize our Click and Learn portal for ongoing training to enhance your skills.

Please note that applicants must be 18 or over.

Responsibilities

• Serve a range of drinks quickly and efficiently.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Review stock levels regularly and follow policies and procedures.
• Support team development in collaboration with the Café Manager.
• Stay updated on Tesco communications, offers, and menu changes.
• Resolve customer complaints when possible.

Requirements

• Experience as a Barista or in hospitality.
• Excellent customer service commitment.
• Confidence in coaching and training others inclusively.

Personal qualities

• Good planning and organization skills.
• Initiative to improve processes and adapt to situations.
• Strong communication skills to support colleagues and management.
